[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about mounting barrel to upper

I have a few PSA uppers and a new Alpha 300 blackout barrel. The barrel will not fit all the way into the upper because either the locating pin on the barrel is to big (.135 in) or the slot in the uppers are to small (.123 in). WTF? Any ideas?

What did you end up doing? There were a couple less than awesome suggestions in that thread.

I took an exacto knife and scratched off the anodizing from either side of the slot on the upper. There was still a tight "pressed in" fit though, just not as bad. Worked well.
