| I'm in the process of reconfiguring a rifle length AR into a carbine. That being said, I came across a stripped Daniel Defense 16" barrel in the M4 Contour with a 1 -7 twist on Brownells for a damn good price. Problem is, they were sold out. Day late and a dollar short! At any rate, I'd like to find a stripped barrel of good quality in the $200 price range that also fit that contour and twist. Any input on where to buy that barrel or another manufurer would be great! Thanks |

ordered my barrel last Tuesday and received it Friday ? Quoted:
If you order from DSA, good luck getting it by summer time. But to answer your last question, if you own a dremel you can shave a regular a2 fsb down and make a low profile gas block. It's stronger than anything clamp on you could ever buy. |

Not stripped but great price http://www.dsarms.com/DSA-ZM4--16-Chrome-Lined-17-Twist-M4-Barrel---ZM4001M4PARKCL-A/productinfo/ZM400116M4PARKCL-A/ *hoping I don't regret post* I just called and verified in stock with 1-3 day turnaround on shipping. CS Rep stated they are really good when item is in stock, but they "suck" when it's not....advised to call ahead any order to verify to prevent frustrations. so please don't get greedy and order all they have...leave me one for the end of the week-please no affiliation, just needing a barrel to go towards my daughters Foliage build..YMMV SCW |

checked shipping to SC, it was listed as $14.87
Here is a similar item, with a current Free Shipping Deal. again YMMV |
| I'll NEVER understand people's fascination with 1/7 twist barrels. The average guy shoots 55 grain fmj ammunition on a REGULAR basis. Sure, he may occasionally shoot 69+ grain ammo but not often enough to warrant buying a barrel that is specifically for higher bullet weights- unless he reloads specifically for his barrel. Just my $.02. |
