| I know it's opening a can of worms to ask opinions, but, I'm looking for a solid set of back up iron sights. They'll be on a scoped rifle and don't necessarily need to co-witness with a red dot. Any ideas and/or sources would be appreciated. |

http://www.surefire.com/tactical-equipment/rapid-transition-sights/dd-rts-set.html If you want offset sights, I'd say go with the KAC ones listed here at $258 For a scoped rifle, the magpul MBUS will suit you fine. |

I have Troy and KAC 300m rear BUIS, actually I got 3 Troy (two standard and one DOA aperture), all works fine folded under my hunting scope with the center of the ring is 1.50" above the rail.
I don't need elevation adustment because they're just backup sights and I'm not shooting a Palma match. Here are folded heights from the top of the rail of some low profile rear BUIS: ARMS 40L: 0.610" Magpul MBUS Gen 2: ~ 0.51" Troy: 0.460" MI MCTAR-SPLP: 0.4375" KAC 300m: ~ 0.315" If you want the lowest it is probably the KAC Micro 300m (P/N: 25475). http://www.knightarmco.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=45 |

The 200-600 micros sit pretty low as well.
Here is one on the EE for $80 shipped 300m sight on EE $80 shipped as well |

Quoted: I have magpul are great for the money, troys are probably the most popular here if money is not an issue. i have a KAC 600m flip up and love it because it has the elevation adjustmentt like an A2 sight 1 KAC 200-600 micro 2 Magpul buis sets 1 Arms #40 and really havent used any of them, buy the Magpul and save some coin |

I've never used them, but the "Xpress Threat Interdiction" sights look pretty sweet if you want a fast transition between optic and BUIS without having to remove that optic.
