First post, but have been reading here for a long time, and recently signed up.

About 15 years ago I built from parts a 20" hbar a2, and learned alot. I knew literally nothing about the AR platform, but really had the urge to put one together. It was a fine rifle, and I was amazed how everything assembled. I was imaging I would have to be some kind of magical gunsmith to finish it...

Forward to last night. In light of recent political events I decided it was time to build another. This time I went for the 16" mid length. A friend had a lower for me, so I ordered everything else from online sources and last night we assembled all the parts. My friend replaced all the trigger springs with yellow JP springs, and fit and polished the sear to the hammer for a nice crisp 4lb trigger pull.

Everything fit together like a glove with no slop. The Pmag falls right out without any hang up. I had read that some of the DM lowers will hand on to the  Pmags.

Here is the list of the posts that went into the AR. I will try to get pics up later. It's just a basic k.i.s.s. Build, so we all know what those look like...
