Nice set of parts in that things.  Should prove to be a solid shooter.  Post up a After Action report on it when you get back from the range.

Nice looking rifle,  job well done on your first build.

This morning I ran 100 rounds of M193 through the gun. Sights were very close right out of the box, hitting 1.5"  right without any adjustment. With a little tweaking it was hitting POA @ 50 yards. I plan to zero it @ 200 yards when I get up north but for now it's good to go.

It functioned great, no feeding or ejection problems with the gun and all 6 of my P-Mags performed flawlessly. There were no odd marks on any of the brass and the primer indentations were well centered and uniform. All in all I'm very pleased with my first build. Thanks to AR15.com members for posting all the useful information that helped me make informed decisions, this site rocks!

I'm already contemplating my next build, maybe a midlength 5.56 or .308...

Nice, very nice, I am beginning a new build almost identical.  How hard is the ACE stock to mount?  How much did the whole project cost you.

I put an ACE on my LMT - it is pretty easy.

Only trick I can pass on...Windex for the foam cheek piece.  Otherwise, won't slide down the tube.

x2 on the lube, the foam tube won't slide on without it. Installing the ACE stock took about 10 minutes.

Total cost was $1,049.32 not including the P-Mags, those were an additional $11.07 each.
