| Working on my first build here and am wondering which buffer spring to buy. I was originally looking at the Tubb spring but I've heard people have had some issues with them slowing down the recoil too much. Now I'm thinking about Sprinco. I'm leaning towards the white spring but I see a lot of people have had good luck with the blue spring. Is the blue spring too powerful? Or should I just use a generic spring? FYI.....Im probably going to use the Spikes ST-T2 buffer. Thanks everyone. |

I have always just used the standard cheap spring with zero problems This ^^^ Standard springs and buffers unless you're having cycling problems and need to tune. No need to sex up the spring and buffer at the front end of a build. Using the standard stuff lets you establish a baseline for function testing. |
| I've been using DSA and PSA springs. I think I've been getting them for about $3 apiece and throw them in when I'm putting bigger orders in. Standard springs work fine, you can measure them at any time to make sure they're still in spec, and for $3 you can have a spare. |
