I am building my first AR.  I have the lower completed. M&P15 lower receiver, DD LPK, Spikes buffer tube kit, and a CTR stock. I have been looking at some completed uppers and I think I might go with this BCM upper.

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-BFH-16-Mid-Length-Upper-Receiver-Centurion-12-p/bcm-urg-mid-16-bfh-c4-12.htm

I have decided I want a mid length with a long rail to keep my options open for sights and other goodies.
I have read around and this looks like a quality upper to me, but then again I don't have any real knowledge/experience on building AR's
I want this rifle to be very dependable and built to last.
So what do you guys think of this BCM upper? Could I save some money piecing together and building my own or would it not save enough to even worry about?
Like I said I want this to be a very dependable rifle that is built using quality parts that are going to last.
I'm open to other suggestions as well. Thanks in advance for your guys help.

If you want to build your upper you will have to buy some tools that you probably don't have, so the price just went up.
Any BCM upper will be plug-n-play.

A BCM upper added to the quality lower you already have = win.
