Anyone have experience with SOTA Arms? I ordered a complete flat-top upper from them a couple of days ago & wondered if I should have checked around first. Website seems straight-forward enough and products seem fine, just unknown to me. I ordered on my credit card so if it's a bad move at least I can recoup the $60+$12 sh.

All I can offer is that I bought a stainless steel 300 blk upper from them, and I can't yet get it to cycle - it ejects the spent round but doesn't strip the next round from the mag. It'll probably work eventually but IMHO uppers should function right out of the box. |

I ordered a 6.8 BCG and stainless flash hider/brake. I didn't get any shipping information from them. But the Item arrived in about a weeks time USPS, which is what I chose. I have not tested the BCG yet, but no reason it should not work. I took it apart and everything looks as it should. The only negative about the BCG I could see was that it had almost zero lube on it. Which isn't exactly the end of the world. The flash hider looked nice, the machining was sharp, almost cut myself. But for the price it was a good deal. It even came with a crush washer, more than to be said about PSA's steel flash hider. |
| I called them yesterday and the gal said she'd call me back once she had an answer for me regarding where my items were. I got a call 3 or 4 hours later, the uppers are in stock but the BCGs I ordered are 2-3 weeks out. I asked if the uppers could be shipped now seperately from the BCGs. We'll see, I'm not thrilled about paying for stuff thats 4 weeks out til they're instock. |

Their website is weak to say the least. There is practically nothing there ... at least nothing in the way of saying that they have a presence on the internet.
I personalty would cancel the order and buy from a reputable vendor. You can always do a charge-back if you used a REAL credit card (not a bank card/debit card). Just call the phone number on the back of the card, tell them that you have a "fraudulent charge" and you'll get your money back in no time. It will look real good if you can say that you've tried to contact them by phone and/or email. |
| I have had them at my local gun show several times since they are in Minnesota. I like what they have at there prices they don't stake there BCGs which I can't justify spending money on. I like there uppers and for the M4 ones are relatively cheap with good quality. |

You could just call and cancel the order rather then hoping they shipped already and reversing the charges through your card issuer. I've had no issues with them returning my phone calls or answering the phone. I didnt ask before ordering if they had the items in stock. The three 5.45 bolt groups I ordered are out of stock, the complete uppers were in stock but they were holding my order until the BCGs were available. I cancelled my BCGs via voicemail aftyer hours and received a return call the next day letting me know they'd ship the rest of my order and they emailed me a receipt and let me know they issued a refund and it should be in my account in the next couple days barring any delay for the holiday weekend. If their website showed the quantity on hand or noted "in stock/out of stock" I wouldn't have any complaints. As it is, it's a minor delay and would have been a non-issue had I called before ordering. |
| My order arrived today, minor delay with UPS due to the holiday weekend, and my money was refunded lat week but again delayed by my bank due tothe holiday weekend. I've got no complaints with SOTA and would do business with them again however I'll be asking if the items I want are in stock beforehand. |

Received the upper today 1 Jun after placing the order on 17 May. Not fast, but acceptable. The upper looks good though it has some sharp edges & could have stood having the under edges of the rails chamfered a bit. Overall I'm happy with it, so I will say thumbs up to SOTA.
