I couldn't get the front sight sight tower oof my barrel so I cut it off.  I have two other towers but the the drift pins were drilled in different locations on my barrel compared to those other towers so they won't work.

What next?

Is there a clamp on low profile gas block that would cover the un anodized portions of the barrel?

Use something like the midwest industries low pro gas block that is long enough to cover the taper pin holes.

any other options out there?

With the Rainier arms do you have to buy their jig?

Does anyone have the Troy one in stock?  Troy doesn't

This one looks to be in stock.
It's designed to cover the FSB scars and I was able to cart it.

Does the troy one require divots to be drilled?

Are there any that don't require drilling divots, that cover the pin holes that fit under a handguard?

Here's another $49.99

I wonder if this one or this one would cover that portion where the A2 FSB was.

Most all of the extra long GB's use set screws.
DD used to make a couple of clamp-ons but they're DC'ed.

Does a set screw mean I have to drill dimples?

You're supposed to so the setscrews get good purchase.
Bet there's thousands around that don't have dimples, though.

The Troy sets crews on my recent build cut in the barrel. You don't have to dimple for them.

Times two on the post above.  The screw had what looked like a self tapping end on it.  So I didn't get a little happy installing them.  Just tight enough to get them to bite and be done.
