Whats the best paint & methods to get those super clean red (fire) and white (safe) receiver markings.  I have done a search and cant find any good info.    Im guessing some sort of heat cured enamel or lacqeur?   Any tricks to a real clean application?

nothing looks better then when its done "right"....  and nothing looks worse when its sloppy.

Colored grease pencils or testers model paint put in with a syringe

Testers model paint, small pin point paint brush, thinner and q-tips.

1. Clean all the grease or oil off you paint-able surfaces.

2. brush on paint liberally and don't worry about outside the lines.

3. Let it dry thoroughly then remove excess with q-tips lightly dipped in thinner.

Take you time, have fun, and shoot straight!!!

how does the model paint hold up to cleaning agents??   i was thinking more about a baking enamel or something like that for durability but if the model paint will hold up thats much simpler and cost effective.

These pictures were after about a year of cleanings and going strong.  I don's scrub the markings but I clean them very well and I still have plenty of paint if it starts coming off.
