So I'm looking to get a black UBR for a reasonable price and found one here for $216...
MAGPUL UBR at manventureoutpost.com Does anyone have experience with these guys? The image shown is of a real ubr as COLORADO is spelled correctly on the side but the site says "*The image and details above are a representation only, production variances may exist. For details please contact us or the manufacturer prior to ordering." Any help is appreciated. Thanks

That's a pretty standard disclaimer on most retail sites.
It's a CYA move on the part of the seller in case there are any mid production changes and so they don't have to update photos. Aside from the price, is there anything else that makes you think it's fake? Looking at the site it appears they sell the UBR for $227 normally with $16 shipping, so it's not too far off to be suspicious. Pay with a CC and if the place fucks you over do a chargeback. |

I've used Manventure several times and thought they were great. Once for a Hogue 10/22 over-mold stock and once for a Kelty tent. They are GTG. I have bought from them several times. For future reference, AIM Surplus has these (UBR) for $199 with free shipping and the "bryanfreakingrocks" code. They are out of stock right now however. |
| Botachtactical.com + coupon code "slickmag" = $200 shipped UBR. |

I wouldn't use botachtactical if it was the only business left to buy from. They took my money, and I never got the items that was missing from my order. I never recieved a credit either. I chalked it up to a life lesson and cut my losses.
However I will say Brownells customer service is awesome. Can't speak for the company in question in the initial post though. |

Do yourself a favor and Google Botach. You will find a lot of bad reviews. I wouldn't even bother looking at their website. |

I've bought several hundred dollars worth of stuff from Botach over the past month or so.
Here's is what to expect from them: -Great prices -not the fastest customer service, but they have responded to every single email I've sent them (takes anywhere from a day, to a week at the longest; which was also for an offer I made on an item. They accepted that offer, BTW.) -they do not charge you until they ship your order (this apparently is a big deal to some people, dunno why) -if they are out of stock on an item from your order, they ship the rest of the order sans item. This is the only thing that bothers me a little. The shipping is free, though and they place you on a waiting list until they get said item back in. They still don't charge you for the items not shipped, and you can cancel and remove yourself from that list. I've read the horror stories; that's why I started with small priced orders. They've really cleaned up their act, IMO. |
