long range ar-15 build, trying to complete it with a good 2 stage trigger, heard good things about geisele, wilson, and RRA as a cheaper option. Suggestions, and do I care about "match"? nothing else on the rifle is match. I like the RRA for the price but its on indefinite back order everywhere. If you'd like to point me to another thread that'd be fine, because I'm sure theres a few of them.

Geissele SSA or SSA-E.

My RRA is as good as any high priced spread I have ever tried.  All I did was slide a piece of 800 grit wet and dry sand paper through the contact points and apply a bit of grease to the sear.  Perfection at its peak.  It may be worth the wait.

What he said. Buy one of these and nothing else, you won't regret it.

Right here.

If you're coming from a USGI go either.
If you're coming from another 2 stage....go SSA-E

This. Put an SSA-E in my Mk12 and love it.

Also look at the Geissele Hi Speeds.

Geissele.
AFAIK the service life of the SSA is very long.
Nobody is perfect, but if you search you will find way more posts of problems with RRA triggers than with Geissele triggers (if you can find any Geissele problem posts at all).

Both mentioned are great for what they are at their price points.

I have a friend who instructs law enforcement at the State level and has reported some problems with the RR triggers.

Between my brother and me we have used at least 40 RR triggers and never had a hitch.  I use a little moly on the contact points.

As for the issues with the RR triggers you have to wonder if it's the equipment or the user, i.e. maintenance, cleaning or the lack there of.  Since they are in wider distribution you will see more issues and I would presume that a guy with a higher end trigger is probably more apt to keep it lubed and clean.

Could not be happier with my Geissele SSA.

Thanks for all the great feedback. Sounds like SSA-E is the way to go, just want to clarify that this is the product that everyone is speaking of: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/660568/geissele-super-semi-automatic-enhanced-trigger-ar-15-lr-308-small-pin-154-two-stage-matte

I want the small pin .154 right?

Yes, unless you have an old Colt with the oversized (.169/.170) pins.

A 5/32" drill bit will be .156 "

Fantastic, is this is good place to order from? I see they're cheaper than Midway and have it available now. Is this install something I can do by myself if I have a fairly decent mechanical understanding? or is best to have a local gunsmith do the job and if so is it generally expensive to do? Thanks again!

Two pins, just like the standard AR trigger group.
It's even easier as it's semi-preassembled.

PSA is a popular and trusted vendor.

Ordred my SSA-E from PSA as everyone suggested, about to install it in my stag arms lower, if I follow the included instuctions should I be able to manage? I don't really have any armorer specific tools, anything I'm going to need? If I have a fair mechanical understanding should I get through it alright? Any tips ahead would be fantastic, thanks everyone for all your input and help.
