If you chose the Noveske route, buy in confidence. They are as good as it gets in my opinion. They are numerous other lowers that cost less that are good to go also. I recently build 2 rifles on Noveske receivers. http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn38/rccox/Guns/Noveske%20Carbines/b1a5caa1.jpg http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn38/rccox/Guns/Noveske%20Carbines/5bd9e929.jpg http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn38/rccox/Guns/Noveske%20Carbines/adcfdf59.jpg DO NOT listen to this man!!!! He will give you the worst case of BRD known to man!!! LOL! RC is correct, they have one of the best looking lowers and they hold tight tolerences. Their finish is second to none. He also has the Seekins lowers that are every bit as amazing as these. There are alot of very good lowers out there that will do the job just fine, you will have to really look to find bad ones. As far as finish and overall looks, well there are a few: Noveske Seekins LaRue Mega Any one of the above are at the top of the heap, you just have to determine what looks best to you and how much do you want to spend. |

I commented on the Noveske receiver as it was the first one brought up.
I have built on the following receivers with zero issues and would gladly use them again- Noveske Seekins Spikes- Forged/Billet Mega- Forged/Billet RRA Armalite Palmetto State- best value IMHO Daniel Defense The only real problem I think you will have is finding one right now. Wanting to build new guns and not being able to find the parts you want really sucks. |

I bought a New Frontier lower two days ago, $79 and they had 100 in stock. But that was 2 days ago The March 15th 2012 Shotgun News had an article by David Fortier on "Build or Buy?" with good recomendations for building an AR15. He built upper and lower for $449 "As long as it's built to specifications (mil spec) and the art on the side isn't to gaudy, Fortier's not picky about lower recievers. Look for a deal and save some money." He used a $59.99 stripped lower reciever (out of stock) from http://www.karrisguns.com/ar-15-parts. Karris has the COMPLTE New Frontier lower IN STOCK at only $99, heck I live near New Frontier and am waiting for that complete to be built! http://www.karrisguns.com/catalog/product/e5840dc699d744cbbd350226d699bc7d |
