When installing my compensator it is exactly 180 degrees off, is that too far for a crush washer to be crushed?

If you feel it is going to take too much torque to put on, you can lap either side on a stone or diamond hone.  Sometimes it happens.  It is good to have a supply of them so you can just pick another one and try it.

Too much torque would be where your wrench is gonna slip and bung up the FH.

you won't over torque it unless the crush washer is totally flat. The standard notch on an armorers wrench has a bit of play on many muzzles. A real wrench might prevent any slippage.

15-20 ft lbs, or up to 1-1/4 turns.
