Is there enough room under the DCM style FF handguards made by DPMS /Bushmaster ect. for any kind of low pro gas block? yes an odd combo I know!

No.
Unless you can find a gas block that will fit under a I.D. of 1.187" (DPMS/RRA....) and 1.099" (BM/CLE)
