Hello, I joined this site while browsing the net learning about AR's. I decided I am going to build my first AR. I sort of bought the lower on a whim while buying a shotgun, my local shop had an Arma-lite lower in stock for a decent price and I always wanted to build one so I figured the shotgun came in under budget and to use the other money for the lower.
My current parts: Arma-lite Lower Waiting on arrival from Del-ton: DTI 16" M4 1x9 Magpul MOE Handguard - Black Standard Bolt & Carrier Magpul Mil-Spec MOE Buttstock Magpul MOE Grip - Black Rifle-Flash Hiders:Phantom Flash Hider YHM 4 Rail Gas Block Standard Lower Parts Standard Charging Handle with Badger Tac Latch Flat Top Upper with M4 Feed Ramps] Enhanced AR-15/M4 Stock Wrench Magpul MOE MVG Vertical Grip [Grip Colors:Black] 2 Magpul PMAG Polymer 20 Round Magazine [Magazine Color:Black] Hopefully I made decent decisions on my parts as this is my first AR, but it seemed like the Magpul parts are well received. I had a hard time debating on the hand guard as whether to do the magpul moe or just do a 4 rail. I decided to stick with the magpul moe and add the 4 rail gas block. I am looking into perhaps buying the magpul rail sights as well. The optics are my hardest decision, I can't really decide whether to go with a reflex, red dot or acog style scope. Pics will come on arrival of the parts. |

You can never go wrong with YHM or magpul brand gear. Im actually getting ready to build a couple DTI kits up on a double star lower. and been thinking about the YHM flipup sight gas block looks sexy and would look even better with a beltfed conversion oh im rattling again lol
I use no special tools in assembling the weapon although the upper is already properly assembled. BE PREPARED FOR THE BLACK RIFLE VIRUS |
