Hey guys I have been reading on here for a couple months and I dont know where all the ideas that you guys are rude come from. Everybody seems pretty nice. Anyways, my name is Josh and I think I am ready to build my first AR. I am doing it as a range gun only for now so its gonna be basic. Next build might be a bit more sophisticated :) (oh crap I am already planning a second build) I know a lot of people are against cheap parts but I have read some great reviews on Plum Crazy lowers. I havent quite figured out what I need yet but I was thinking probably THIS for the lower, and THIS for the upper. At first I was thinking I wanted to slowly build it (part by part) but decided for a first AR I want to get complete parts.
And is there anything else I would need to get? I know I probably look like the noob that just wants a cheap gun, and thats partly true. I have however at least spent a lot of time researching the parts, talking to local gun shops, and shooting a few AR15s at the range to see what I would like. I actually heard of the Plum Crazy from a guy at the range, he had a spike(s?) lower I think but said his first build was last year and he used a Plum Crazy lower and an upper he found in a pawn shop for 250. He couldnt remember that brand. Anyways thank you guys in advance, hopefully this will be a fun project/addiction. |

The only thing bugging me about that Del-Ton upper is the lack of barrel info. 4140? 4150? It just says chrome lined

| Well guys! I am ordering the lower tonight. I guess if its crap, I can learn the lesson for all of us :p but it really does have some great reviews and it looks like a lot of the bad ones are from "haters" lol. I will keep this thread up to date and post pics when I get it! |

Just so you know that Del-Ton upper G.A.R. is saying they are selling for cheaper they aren't. They are selling at the same price and if you get it with the charging handle and BCG it is more expensive. They show Del-Ton's complete package price and then show you (G.A.R.'s) price with out BCG and Charging handle. I'm looking at buying the same one from Del-Ton. for $390 not the $400 from G.A.R.
