I found this archived thread and thought I'd repost it - there seemed more room for discussion.  I went there because I bought some JP Industries anti-rotation pins and according to their instructions require the removal of the J-spring.  However, a poster in that thread says the J-spring doesn't need to removed for KNS pins.  Is there a big difference in the pins between the two systems?  I can get the JP pin through the hammer, and it rotates, but the spring definitely adds tension to the hammer.  Anyone care to comment?

If you feel the need to use these pins, you should follow the instructions

Extra drag on the hammer could not be a good thing.

I agree.  Still wondering, just because, does the J-spring need to be removed for KNS pins?

No, the KNS pins have a groove in the center of the hammer pin to accommodate the J-spring, as shown on the left-most pin in this photo:

Well, that was really easy.  Put a punch in the hole, gave it one solid rap with a hammer, and the crimped end of the j-spring sheared right off.  Put the JP pins and reduced power spring set in in 5 minutes and can report a very noticeable improvement in the feel of my trigger.
