I bought a Battlecomp 1.0 online, and was excited to get it on my first build.  I removed the a2 flash hider, with no issues.

Upon putting on the crush washer and hand tightening the BC 1.0 on until contact with the BC, it appears it needs over 3/4 of a turn after contact to
index into proper position.  this seems excessive to me.  do they make different size crush washers to alleviate this issue?  if so, how much rotation should be expected
prior to full indexing?

thanx

It's normal. I've actually had worse. Just tighten it a little, then back it off, then tighten it more, then back it off... keep going in that manner till you've got it timed where you want it. Crush washers only come in one size, they're more or less a one size fits all type of affair.

You can also (CAREFULLY) take a file to the narrow side of the crush washer.
Be aware that removing even a tiny bit can result in easier or excessive timing
as the rotation goes.

+1  I use sandpaper to remove a little at a time.
