I ordered a YHM smooth forearm as part of my first upper. While checking out how everything fit together, I noticed that one of the anti-rotation screw holes seems to be threaded at an angle.

The threads seems to be clear of any debris. I've tried both screws in the hole and neither work. Both screws work perfectly in the opposite hole. There's no way it's going to go in as-is without applying way too much torque and mangling something. I'm sure that you guys are going to tell me that the best fix would be to send it back to YHM. There's no easy fix for this, right?

looks like they have been cross threaded.  you could maybe chase the threads with a tap, or force the screws to go in straight, but I'd find the right tap and try that.

id contact YHM first thing and let them address it.
