I bought a FNMI barrel from a member here and installed it on my gun, i know these .gov barrels have a bit of cant that is usually taken out when the barrel is tightened, this barrel took 70 Ft lbs to align correctly, and It still has a little bit of FSB cant, the rear sight is moved to the right but i believe it is still between the center mark, and the first large mark on the rear sight. I was wondering if this was acceptible, i hear that as long as its under 20 clicks from the center it is still in spec?

Just trying to gather data.
Did you use a receiver or barrel block on the install?

Have you tried to zero the sights yet to determine if the fsb is truly canted? This is usually due to an over-torqued barrel nut.

Was this a new barrel nut or one that came with the barrel?  If it was used, I personally, would replace the barrel nut and try again.

Looking down the barrel, from breech to muzzle, does the barrel alignment pin actually line up with the FSB?

70 ft lbs was where the barrel nut lined up with the hole in the receiver.

You could try re torquing the barrel and have someone with a padded pipe wrench apply a little anti cant direction pressure on the sight tower.
