| Hey guys Im here with my first AR/Build. So I really dont know what all parts are good and what arent/what can be upgraded. I want to build the best AR possible from the internal standpoint, upgraded bcg, trigger, springs? I really dont know much about any of it so Im asking your help. What would be the best internal upgrades for an AR15? Thank you guys for any and all help |

I think it would be interesting to have a nickel boron coated geissele trigger. It might be pointless, but I think it would be nice to try. AR15performance.com has some bolts made with upgraded materials. These should be quite a bit stronger than the standard bolt.

I understand it would last longer but I didnt know it would perform better. Also what do the upgraded triggers do? just make the pull smoother and lighter? |

It would really depend on the trigger. Generally smoother usually lighter, but how light should depend on personal preference. I like a 3 or 4 lb trigger on my AR's, no lighter. Many of them also have a faster reset for quicker follow up shots. The actual model used should probably depend on the purpose of the rifle. I really like my S3G and SSA-E triggers. As far as the bolt goes I am unaware of any reliability upgrades besides possibly NP3, IonBond, or nickel boron coating. The factory bolt designs are already extremely reliable. You might put a Dfender ring on the extractor, but I've always had excellent results with the standard Viton O ring.

| LMT does have an "enhanced" BCG, they changed the cam pin channel and added an extra gas port. They also undurcut the lugs of the bolt for stress relief. Most of this has to do more with tuning the gas system for 14.5" carbine gas systems. The undurcut lugs should make it stronger, but I think the AR performance bolt would be even better. |

No, I'm saying a good trigger will make the rifle easier to shoot well. |

Get a NiB coated BCG. Either from Spikes or Fail Zero. Or hell even the one from Rguns (but it will need an extractor upgrade.
Leave the trigger alone and get a standard milspec one. This is your first AR and you need to get ALOT of trigger time with a milspec one before you should go to an upgraded trigger. This is the best way to learn. |
