I need help deciding what's the better upper.  A DPMS Panther A3 Lite-16 Complete Upper http://www.dpmsinc.com/store/products/?prod=271&cat=1646 or a Del Ton 16" M4 complete upper http://www.del-ton.com/AR_15_Barrel_Assembly_p/dt1007.htm . Are their any differences between the two? Prices don't matter because I've found them both for about the same price.
If it makes any different they will be going on a Aero Precision lower with Palmetto State Armory LPK and stock.

Thanks for your help!

No experience with the DPMS but my Delton has been flawless and has never had a misfire of any kind.

I'm new but from what I hear DT has long lead times.  I've done a lot of research and I finally settled on PSA lower stripped + kit and complete PSA upper.  Prices are just as good but delivery is right at roughly 10 days right now.

Just my opinion.  Good luck.

The problem with PSA is that their uppers seem to always be "temporarily out of stock." At least the ones I am interested in.

I think delton may be starting to catch up on some of their orders, so the wait seem to be getting shorter. I have a delton and it runs flawlessly. I have no experience with DPMS though.

my DPMS 5.56 Oracle would NOT run STEEL cased ammo.. I did the chamber brush thing ALOT.. and even after  500 rounds it still would not run steel cased ammo.. I ran BRASS (all types) just fine though.. and it was a TIGHT shooter..

sold the DPMS and got a 16" HF PSA Upper as an upgrade..

if ammo choice is not an issue.. than buy the DPMS.. I would try DelTon if comptemplating Steel Cased ammo though.. (never used a DelTon)

Would the waiting periods on the Delton still be a problem even if I ordered it from another company?

Of the two you mentioned I would go with the Del-Ton.
