$200 for the scope, or $200 for the scope and mount?  There is a big difference here.  You can almost spend $200 on a mount if you want.

Take a look at GRSC.  He has a 1-4 Tactical Scope that is pretty cool.  I can't vouch for 100% true 1X scope, but it has some intesting features.  Download the PDF and read.  It has bullet drop compsation and windage for 223 out to 800 yards if I remember.  It can also be illuminated red or green with the typical watch battery. The price is $350, but ex-military and police used to get $75 off.  I have one, but the most impresive thing is that if your battery dies for the red/green dot...The all of the lit features are etched on the glass.  Therefore, no show stopper or iron sight usage to have some fun.  The only real downer is that it is about as large as a normal 30mm scope, but shorter.

Mount:  I got a angled Burris type with thumb screws.  Easy on/off.

Other than that, look into the Nikon 223 scope and mounts.  You will have about 400-450 in that rig pretty quick.

Look at primaryarms.com (vendor here) and look at their 1-4x offering as well as the Millet DMS-1.  PA also offers an extended mount for these types of scopes on a AR.

I spent a little more and went with a Vortex Viper 2-7x and LOVE that thing.
