Tapco Intrafuse Handguard? > Build It Yourself

Thinking about using one on a plinker build. I like the built in rail sections, keep ones covered you don't want etc. Any reason not to?

cheap plastic. bad ergonomics. ugly. the warm feeling of supporting a company that puts out cheap ugly stuff.

just my opinion.

also, itll get you laughed at.

Yup, I have one, it's alright but I prefer my MOE. The MOE seems to use a more dense plastic which is stronger. Also I was able to smell a hint of burning plastic from the front where it's close to the gas tube. I would go with the MOE and add rail sections where you need them. You also have to remember the top and bottom on the TAPCO have full rails, the sides only go back about half way.

Im not really a fan of tapco's ar products but they make some good AK stuff especially their mags

I have no issue with Tapco stuff, there grip actually fits my hand very well. Plus Damien is awesome to work with. Here is the Tapco equipped rifle I built for my now EX

Damiean...the Intrafuse HG arrived today, THANK YOU! It appears to be a quality part from a "benchtop review" perspective...I will work on getting this mounted and give an AAR after shooting with it..
