So I have had my lower built for some time now and I figured it's about time to get started on building my first upper. The lower is a dpms 5.56, dpms parts kit and stock.
I have been considering getting a aero upper reciever w/ bolt carrier group, the prices seem to be good and I have seen several positive remarks on them. The barrel is the main thing I have a question about. I have been considering a dpms 16" m4 contour $180ish , or a stag arm same deal $150. Has anyone had any expierience pairing these barrels with the aero upper? Or other suggestions for barrels that are reasonably priced would be very welcome. Also considering a gas piston kit, ccmg, daniel defense or ops416? Money is a factor, but I do not want to to be a complete budget build, I can always save vs getting junk.
