Anybody out there know who makes a carry handle with a square proof mark.

IF that's the only marking, it's gonna be hard to ID the MFG, but the squares are a standard forge mark iirc, so it should work just fine with an A2 FSB.

Brass Aluminum forge marked A-2 Carry Handle. Used on Colts, Rock River, Bushmaster, Stag, DPMS, etc.

Not all detachable carry handles are equal; some (eg. Bushmaster) are not as high as Colts. The shorter ones are made as such to work with an original configuration FSB while the higher ones are meant for use with the F marked FSBs.

The square forge mark only denotes that the raw forging came from BAFE. It does not, however, tell you who machined & finished the part. All you need to know is if the carry handle has commercial height sights or mil-spec height.

Thanks for the answers. They appear to be the same height as the ones I took off some Colt 6920's.
