I am new to the forum and tried the search function for this topic so sorry if I am reposting a topic. But I  am in the process of building my first AR and in the very beginning stages I already ordered my spikes lower from AimSurplus and dpms lpk from midway usa. But was wondering about the spikes battle trigger and if its much of an upgrade compared to the mil-spec lpk trigger that I will already be getting. Just wondering if its worth the money. Thanks

Its a very nice trigger, breaks clean and crisp. Isnt super light with the standard springs though. The price makes it a great bargain as well.

I put one of the battle triggers in my carbine, and I like it very much.  It breaks like glass when compared to the standard trigger that came in my PSA LPK, and is far better than the trigger that came in my RRA lower.

I would consider it a great upgrade.  When I finish up my A2 build, I think one of those triggers is going in there as well.

Welcome to the forum.

+1 feels better then a milspec while still being one.

I really couldn't discern much difference between it and a standard trigger.

The one I played with did not "break like glass" and was not in any way a "match trigger," but I don't believe they sell it as a match trigger.

I would pass on it. If you want a better trigger, I'd look elsewhere. I'm not sure what the point of it is other than the protective coating.
I've never had an issue with a FCGs finish anyway.

For that money you could send you trigger to Bill Springfield and get a great trigger. TriggerWork.net

I have a lot of match triggers, single and double stage, btw. LMT, Jewell, JP, Bushmaster and so on.

YMMV,
Bill

I got one awhile back and really like it. The Spikes was a big improvement over the trigger that came with a DPMS parts kit. I plan on getting another down the road for my wife's AR.
