not sure if this counts as "building" one. but i pieced it all together and whatnot. machined the 80% lower myself

damn idk why it wont show up...here is the link :)

| i machined it full width just to save a little (not much) weight. and the fact that the blueprints i later found out are m16 not ar15, i didnt machine the other hole for very obvious reasons. i got the 80% for cheap so i guess if it breaks (which i doubt) i can just make another one... any reason why i shouldnt have milled it full length? |
|
I can't really see an issue, I doubt it will break, I suppose the only reason it is left uncut is to strengthen the grip area, and possibly reduce machine time slightly. I've done three so far, have another to do, I may just try opening it up.
Looks good either way. |

machine time would be faster just opening it up the way i did it. less levels of depth and pocket size....
it took me about 45min start to finish to complete it. i just used a gauge pin to indicate the datum and worked with dro after that..i did go the extra step and under drilled then reamed the pin holes. much nicer fit over just a drill bit |
