Im trying to remove the Castle Nut on my collapsable stock AR-15. The Castle Nut is not staked. It wont budge. I am close to ruining the takedown tool here.
Please help !

Could be loctited. Try using a heat gun or torch carefully and see if that helps any. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. The blowtorch method will have to wait till morning.

Work some Kroil into the threads or try the torch.
You cocksuckers and your Locktite.

Yeah, I red-loctited mine down... Blowtorch is the only way now.
Blue would've budged if you applied force.

I tap it with a punch set usually to break it loose even with Loc-tite they come loose I dont really worry on harming it since I have spares but if you know it has loc-tite then heat it and punch it.....

i never loctited mine and its never come loose. anyway, who cares if it did. its not like your buffer tube is gonna twist out and you not notice.
