Ok, I know the unconstitutional AWB caused many issues with guns but it expired..
What is the difference between a pre and post ban barrel? Why is this still an issue, except for SBR's and Full Auto's? Or is that why they are still marked. Just a little confused is all.... |

A post-ban barrel has a front sight base with no bayonet lug. A pre-ban barrel has the bayonet lug on the FSB. The reason, here in CT, is so a person has only two of the " evil " features on his/her AR-15 weapon. Having three of the " evil " features is against state law. The three " evil " features are non-pinned flash hiders, bayonet lugs and collapsible stocks. The only two ohter " evil " features allowed by CT are the pistol grip and magazine well. The law is silly because no one ever comitted a crime at bayonet point. I believe in laws punishing wrong-doers not the tools of marksmanship and hunting.
