| Should be getting all my part for my 20" 223 built but i am a bit confused about buffer. I know the shorter buffer would be for the carbine but which one should i use with the Magpul PRS stock, should it be the rifle or standard size? |

The PRSâ„¢ mounts to rifles using the M16 Rifle Receiver Extension (Buffer Tube) without M16A2 spacer.

Sorry guys, very green here.
I saw that on the instructions and their website. I was going to pull the trigger on the buffer and spring last night and the website had both Standard and Rifle but they look exactly the same so, in doubt i just decided to ask the experts. What is the difference between Standard and Rifle?? Standard Riffle |

Ok Thanks.
Any budy running this one or any body has any knowledge about this one. Rate Reducer Any good?, |

Not running full auto, but i dont thinkd is only for full auto if i am not mistatken.
I already have the regular buffer on the way, just wanted have opinions on that particular part. You are right, need to keep it simple and later on upgrade if need it or should i say want. Do i really I really need it?, nope, but like anything else, if it improves perfromance, and works well with out messing anything else up, yes i want it. I think we all might agree. |

Rate Reducer Any good?, No experience with it ... but it's like the enidine buffer (which I have used) and those are more to solve over gassed issues (to help slow things down) or for full auto... doubt you'll need it. |

I am not sure if only for full auto, i will have to read on it again. Any way no big deal, i hope i can get it up and running for this weekend. Let me ask you enidine buffer yes or no? I did get one and i do think it does reduce recoil, but cant really attest to that since i also swaped the muzzle brake this past weekend at the same time i put the E buffer on. I put my stock buffer back on and will see how it does this coming weekend, i could hear lots of more squiecking with the enidine. |

I only ran the eidine buffer for a short time when I first got into AR's (thought it was cool)..... and yes they do sound funny. The thing about the enidine type buffers (or hydraulic buffers) is they can slow things down to much and cause short stroke problems (BCG won't lock on last round, won't strip next round from mag etc etc) there was also some issues with them leaking fluid that I read about somewhere so I decided an H3 buffer would serve my purposes just as well and I never have to worry about it failing me. But that's just me ... so if it works for your purpose by all means run that puppy. |

Ii actually had a few problems with the running the endine as ou mention, it's already off the gun running stock buffer.
I am working on a my own build so just testing the waters on different thing, first one so hopefully i wont hurt myself when all is said and done.
