| Not many people are using (just looked through build it yourself photos+descriptions) the 5.56 YHM 16" 1:7 barrel, cost is $187. I was thinking about purchasing this barrel but want some input prior to purchasing it. Thank You |

I've got a couple of those but with a 1:9 twist. Very well made quality barrels, I'm sure I'll buy more in the future. I was pretty surprised how well they handled a wide spectrum of bullet weights, 45gr all the way up to 77gr (the 77s fairly well for a 1:9). One of them particularly likes a Sierra 68gr BTHP match I use, I've gotten very good accuracy with those.
Both barrels I have are the YHM 16" 5.56 Non-fluted 1:9 twist with Phantom 52Cs. I find the YHM diamond fluting to be a little on the Fugly side, I like non-fluteds myself. |
... I also don't care for their diamond fluting.
