I am bouncing back and forth on which LPK to go with right now. I have heard good things on the DD but havent seen anything on the spikes. I am not looking at the Spikes enhanced kits but just the regular $60 job.
How do they stack up to one another? Trigger, springs, overall quality.

Thanks

I'm sure the Spikes stuff is fine, but everything I have seen/purchased from DD has been absolutely rock solid. I don't think you can buy any better than DD.

Ive had good luck with the Daniel Defense kit and you get a Magpul MOE trigger guard in with it. DD is the way to go

to the OP i have used both, the Daniel defense is far better by light years, the Spikes is on par with DPMS, i feel that the Spikes is a rebadged DPMS LPK. i post a thread on this, we have 87, "which LPK should i use threads" a week around here. the Spikes LPK had a VERY heavy, gritty trigger, crappy split, c type roll pins, and out of spec bolt catch. i will never use their LPK's again.

the Daniel defense went together very smoothly, smooth crisp trigger, all parts in spec and installed smoothly, roll pins that installed without "beating " them in.

OP, for your info Daniel Defense, Stag/CMT, J&T, and Rock River all have VERY good LPK's, i have assembled a metric ton(it feels like) of LPK's into stripped lowers, these LPK's i mentioned are the ones i would use and the order i would buy.

it's your money and please buy what makes you happy, i listened to the Spikes fanboys RAVE reviews and got bit, a good friend of mine watched and helped so he could learn when i used the Spikes, he was shocked at the crappy LPK and all i had to do to make it work, the next lower i assembled was a Daniel Defense stripped loer and DD LPK, went together like butter, he made the comment about the differences . the lower i built on with the Splike LPK was a AR15.com stripped lower, very nice lower by the way . do some more reading on LPK's before making your mind up. read up on Daniel Defense, Stag/CMT, J&T(best kept secret in lpk's) and Rock River. you get what you pay for, so do your self a favor and don't listen to fanboys

Thanks for the info, I have never been a band wagon type of guy. I contacted Spikes a few days ago and they said their stuff was made in house so I thought I would be worth looking at but wanted to get some more wisdom before proceeding. I had read time and time again that the DD LPK was a good one and I have used the Stag, which I think is much better than the RRA. I hadnt seen anything on the Spikes LPK though.  I dont know anything on the J&T LPK's but I will be going with the DD. I am getting all of the parts together and my wife is going to be the one building it since it is going to be "her" gun.
I know there are alot of "which LPK" threads but it beats talking about the weather I guess.

I really hope this isn't true. Just got a Spike's LPK the other day and it was a toss up between Daniel Defense and Spike's. I will be quite dissapointed if Spike's is crumby especially after reading this from the PrimaryArms website: "Spike's Tactical set out to offer the Best Factory Lower parts kit on the market! The lower parts kit they came up with exceeds Military Specifications by a long shot, they also have a much better fit, and finish! 100% Made in the USA with a Lifetime Warranty!"

Did anyone have a good experience with Spike's LPK?

i honestly hope your experience is better than mine, to be fair, i'm sure the enhanced Spikes LPK is GTG

Would recommend the PSA MOE LPK instead.  You get the Magpul  handle and trigger guard with it instead.

I tried one Spikes lpk and it reminded me of the DPMS lpk that I have used in the past. I wouldnt build another with it, I would go with the kits that votefromrooftops recommends. I have used all of those and they are all good kits.

Well that's sucks. I'll try it out and I hope it is ok. If not I'll get the PSA kit.

They havent used a repackaged DPMS kit for atleast a year. I got 3 of the Spikes kits, two standard and one enhanced. Its good stuff, with better roll pins than DPMS. Which is the only thing by the way in the DPMS kit thats lacking.

I'm on my third PSA LPK and they keep getting better and better.  The last two triggers were fantastic.  The MOE LPK kit for $59 with MOE grip and trigger guard is an awesome deal.
