| I have a one piece forearm. Tried it on a couple receivers and it lines up where it needs to be hand tight. Have no idea how many ft. lbs. that is. Am I good to go? |
| You need to have the proper grease for the barrel threads, a torque wrench and the proper wrench for whatever forearm you have. Are you sure the barrel nut doesn't come out? Apply the grease to the threads and then set the torque wrench to 30 ft/lbs. torque to 30 then loosen a little, torque to 30 again then loosen again, then the last time torque to 30 and see if the hole lines up. if not, change the torque wrench to 40 ft/lbs and see what that gets you. you can keep rasing the torque by 5 or 10 lbs each time to get to the next hole, but don't exceed 80 ft/lbs. |
