Has anyone done this?  It looks like if you just trim some material off the back it would fold like a stock trigger guard.  I received one as a gift so I'm thinking about trying this on my next build.  I like the folding ability of the stock guard, and the gap has never bothered me.

I'm going to try it.  Not like these things cost an arm and a leg anyway.  I'll have to wait until my lower get's back from its SBR engraving though.

ETA:  Never mind, it won't work.  The MOE doesn't have a spring loaded pin to hold it in place like the regular guard.  I didn't look that close before I posted.

so strip a stock flat trigger guard of it's spring, pin, and plunger and install them into the MOE

Magpul, did at one time, make a folding version of the enhanced trigger guard

I have done this... i reused the spring loaded detent on one of mine.. took a little bit of drilling to make it fit right in the trigger guard.. but it works now.
