What is a good Multi-Tool and Upper Receiver block ?
And who has them in stock ? I want to change out my Handguard to a Free Float Tube. |

I use the DPMS multi-tool

I use the DPMS tool and the action clamp from Bushmaster.
Bushmaster Armorer's Action Clamp for all AR15/M16 type rifles |
|
I got one called a block-worx off of gunbroker which is a two piece kit One piece slides onto the upper receiver A4 rail and the other part links to the take down holes. I think that this mounting system exposes the receiver to less torque than one that mounts only at the base of the receiver.
As for multitools, I got nothing. |

I use this upper receiver block. The clamshell may or may not work because of different receiver designs on the exterior. Interior must remain the same, and I've put 60ft-lbs on barrel nuts (Grendel barrel) with it. It didn't give up for a second.
http://www.jsesurplus.com/dpmspantherreceiverclawblock.aspx I also prefer this barrel nut wrench. It takes 1/2 and 3/8 drive torque wrenches. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27412/Product/AR_15_M16_AR_10_reg__BARREL_NUT_WRENCH |
