| working on my first build I have a DPMS lower and i am going with a Daniel Defense upper & bolt carrier group. Thinking of going with a bushmaster bbl they have a kit (bbl, gas tubes, delta ring ect.) I am just wondering if anyone has had any info on how well the DD upper and the Bushmaster bbl will work together |

The daniel defense upper is one of millions of forged uppers which are machined, anodized, and at times rebranded, because it says DD is nothing special. What you should be more concerned about is the barrel. You already have a quality bolt carrier group. The barrel is your next order of business...
Since you are on your first build, if you want a bushmaster barrel, get it. If you can afford a daniel defense barrel over the bushmaster, it will be made and tested to higher standards than the bushmaster (read: superior). Bushmaster barrels are built well and will do what you want it to, you will not be disappointed. The DD barrel is a very nice barrel, around here it is considered a very, very good barrel. Chances are you won't be able to notice a difference in shooting the Bushmaster compared to the DD... Spend your money where you feel it will do you best. In answering your original question, the barrel and upper will work together as long as they both have the same style feedramps. A friend of mine has a bushmaster 14.5 w/pinned FH mated to a DD upper, so I assume that there will not be a feedramp issue. GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE BUILD. |
