Can anyone give any input/thoughts/feelings on Yankee Hill Machine Co. Barrels?  Specifically the 14.5" 1:7 twist with diamond fluting and pinned 5C2 Flash hider that is listed on here.... http://www.yhm.net/store/AR_Barrels.html

I'm not in dire need for a new barrel any time soon, however, I would like to get one on the way to have around for a rainy day.  Any input is greatly appreciated!

I've used a YHM barrel before (wasn't the 14.5 though) and it was pretty nice barrel ... I personally think there are better options for that price range though.

The YHM comes with the fluting and a pinned YHM FH that's it for 235.00 no GB or FSB and you can't install a normal GB or FSB because the FH is already pinned so you'll be stuck with the limited options of the two piece GB unless you make arrangements for YHM to install a FSB or GB before pinning the FH. Me personally .. I would go with this barrel (second one down) it's only 215.00 no fluting but it comes with the sturdy pinned FSB already installed and I bet if you called pkfirearms they would pin whatever FH you wanted on it and it would be ready to mount on your upper and you would probably be just a couple of dollars over the YHM without the sight installed. I think Bushmaster puts out a better and more accurate barrel .. IMHO .. but it really is your decision ... look around some more .. that was just one in your price range there are many others not to far off.
