I'm sure the info is here on the site somewhere, I did look but just can't come up with the correct search terms to find it...

Are there any lower receiver makers that use the same large pin and take down pin configurations as Colt?

If there's a post with all this info that someone is aware of, could you please point me there....

Thank you.

Al rear takedown pins are .250". The early Colt front takedown pins were 315"  Now Colt and all the other brands are 250". I don't have the specs on the hammer and trigger pins.

Colt is named in your assault weapons bill, so what you have there is contraband.  Compliant or not.

Not mine.  Hence, his desire to replace the lower receiver and rebuild it into something "legal".
Do you have any info that will help?

most of us free staters have NO idea of the hoops the cereal stater's have to jump through.

That isn't the point of my question.  I'm familiar with the hoops, trying to find info. on the parts to get there.  I've amended the original post to make it as clear as possible...

I am unaware of any lower receiver made today that is large pin. Daniel Defense currently makes a large pin flattop upper.

If you are looking for an "off-list" large pin lower to replace that Colt lower, it isn't going to happen. You have 2 choices:

Blue pill: Sell lower AND upper. Replace lower with "off-list" lower and corresponding flattop or carryhandle upper resulting in a nice color match, good fit, and the improved captive held takedown and pivot pins.

Red pill: Sell lower. Replace lower with an "off-list" lower. Send lower to M-60 Joe, have him open up the pivot-pin hole. Resulting upper/lower will not have matching color of anodization (not that important), fit will be funky (maybe), you will not have a captive pivot pin.

Thank you.  That's the kind of info. I'm looking for.  I copied your post and emailed it to him to help him decide.
