I have a colt 6721 carbine and a Larue stealth(20"w/ A2 rifle buffer assem.). I would like to buy a back up BCG that will work in either. I am thinking a colt or Bravo Co. M16 BCG w/ both a carbine and rifle extractor spring and bushing? Whats the best way to go?

Thanks

The stock BCM BCG will work with both.  There isn't anything you'd change out going from a carbine to a rifle.

If you can afford it, get a Colt BCG.

The only common bolt parts that I have on my Colt 6721 carbine and Colt A2 rifle are extractor mil-spec O-rings, it increases the reliability, I've been using them for over 4 years now without any problems.

The BCM BCG already includes the extractor O-ring, if you get another brand of BCG you could get the O-ring separately from either Bravo Company, ADCO Firearms, DSG Arms, etc.

If you want to save a little on cost but have the same high quality BCG take a look at the Thunder Bolt auto BCG from either Rainier Arms or Global Tactical.
