New build, went to shoot the thing the other day and noticed my mags weren't catching. The only way to get them to catch is to hit the bottom of them pretty hard (not damaging hard).
Seems like the pmags will catch a little easier but still need a little hit from the bottom to catch. I'm guessing the mag catch is a little off? Anyone else had this problem and corrected it?

If this happens when the bolt is closed, it's normal; you'll need extra force to account for the bottom of the bolt carrier group pressing down on the top round.

Above, especially if the magazine is full.

You can try playing with the tension on the catch by backing it off one turn just to see if it helps.

Load only 28 rnds in a 30 rd mag and only 18 rnds in a 20 rnd mag. That should make locking in easier. Your mag release treaded shaft should be flush with the mag release button, messing with this doesn't make any difference. Fully loaded mags are aways harder to seat against the carrier with the rifle in battery. Always have from the beginning!!!!!!!!

ahh ok.. yea the bolt was closed... I didn't try a full loaded mag yet. Only had 3 rounds in to test.
Thanks for the help!
