I am putting together my first build ever and have broken the bolt catch roll pin. Anyone know how to get a new one. Its a DPMS lower receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Put a WTB ad in the EE. Someone will have a spare laying around to send you.

It's a 3/32" roll pin. Length is supposed to be .437". Get one from your local hardware store and cut to length if necessary.

I found a store that carries them, I was wondering If im not going there till tom can I move on with the rest of the build then just install this when I get a new roll pin

uhhhhh bad material yeah that's it, that's what it was, knocked the piss out of it with the hammer, had a hell of a time getting the pin stated then it bent inwards

A decent hardware store or auto parts store will have a selection of roll pins.

Root around in your ballpoint pen collection. take out the guts from one of the higher quality pens and cut the cartridge tube to the desired length. should work. If this is not an option, bits of string/bread ties are usualy available at most reputable retail locations.

I was driving the roll pin when it bent inward when I tried to straighten it back out with a pair of needle nose plyers it snapped right off. My good buddy got a couple from the local fun-store and the second try went with out a hitch.
