| What does everyone with a light weight barrel do to install the side mount without having any movement? I have a DD lw barrel with tower fsb and using the carbine handguard. I installed the sling side mount and found lots of slop. After thinking way too hard about shims and such, I just drilled, tapped and used a set screw to tighten. Is there a side mount that fits snug on the light weight barrels? |

Steel Side-Sling Adaptor ( 2nd from bottom of page. )
This adapter - the same as used in the original M203 grenade launcher kit - allows mounting a sling to the side of the barrel for easier ready position carry. Machined from gun steel, it is adaptable to both standard (.625" diam.) and heavy barrels (.750" diam.) by flipping the double concave lock plate when installing. What's the dia. of your light weight barrel at the tower? |

I might be out of luck and am stuck with my modified mount unless someone else can come up with a better solution. |
| Thanks––-thats exactly what I was wondering about––-the pins threw me off when you just see all the parts sitting there in the Bushmaster pics––––-might be getting one those myself depending on what gas block I go with––-just using a plain ol float tube that has no rails or provision for sling mounting. |
