| I've got side to side slop between my upper and lower. I know it probably doesn't affect accuracy, but it bothers me. I had lots of slop at the rear but an accuwedge fixed that. I read about a fix where you put an o-ring around the front hinge post here but that seems like it would only remove up and down wiggle, not side to side. Am I incorrect? anybody got a super fix? (cheap is good, fancy is not) |
| The rubber O ring going on the front hinge pin will tighten the space between the two front hinge pin ears on the lower, and should stop any noticeable side to side movement on the front, it might help with any vertical movement, but how much I'm not sure. But it would reduce side to side movement like you're after. |
| Ha! i was just posting my woes on the same thing pretty much on another thread! thats great. When i looked at mine it appears that both recievers (N4(upper) and SW(L)) fit the pins very tightly. But my smith is just a tad bit wider than my N4's post. Perhaps some small shim type washers of some sort would more permanently fix this issue? |

Where do you put the o-ring? Any photos for placement? Thanks, rfenergy It goes around the pivot pin lug on the upper. Thank you. I get it now. I was thinking it was placed somewhere on the pin itself. I looked at the photo on the link above and finally saw where it is placed. Out, rfenergy |
