What brand of vises are you guys using for your lower or upper receiver action blocks? I went to Lowe's and Home Depot today, and the vises they were selling appeared to be cheaply made and the depth of the jaws were too small for the Bushmaster action blocks I bought.

I am not that mechanically inclined. I would like to build a SPR style upper this year, so I need a vise for my garage table.

Thanks

I have used a cheap Lowe's vice for years to do my barrel work. To me the most important thing on a vice is to make sure its secured to your work surface properly.

I have a 6" vise from Harbor Freight. It weighs about 60lbs and was $24.99 on sale a few years ago.
