Keep the updates coming. I'm nearly done with mine, just waiting on the barrel. I'm so impressed w/ the quality of the Mega. What lower did you go with? I went with their matching billet lower for this build. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1265/4670388781_59da55ac79_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4059/4672830678_354bd4c502_b.jpg Looks good, that the rifle or mid length? I know you weren't talking to me but I got the forged Mega Lower with a RRA parts kit in it. |

It's rifle length. My original plan was to build another 22lr for which I have another barrel coming from Ballistic Advantage, but I'm so impressed that I think I'm going to migrate my 17HM2 barrel and PRS to this upper/lower and save the 22lr barrel for another build/rebuild.
I went with RRA LPK also but out of default not preference. Is there really any difference in LPK parts as long as it comes from one of the major companies? I have always just used RRA and keep buying them because they work. |

I have a CMMG lower with a UBR stock... it will look a lot like yours |
| To me it feels lighter than a traditional upper/rail but that could be mental since these are assembled barrel last rather than rail last. I have a 12" LaRue rail on its way to go with a LaRue upper receiver I have on hand and will weigh each with barrel nut but without barrel when I have the parts together. I am rebuilding my current 22lr, replacing the junk spikes upper/lower with quality LaRue upper/Noveske lower. |

that is one massive acog. i likey!!! Haha yeah, I'm kinda liking it also. I bought that about a year ago when I got all excited about a LaRue OSR but gave up on that and put the 648 on a shelf for when I build up an AR-10 Carbine now that I'm stocked up on AR-10 mags. ACOG weights as much as the rifle does without the barrel, crazy nice scope even if a bit overkill for that rig. |
