I know DPMS and CMMG have a smooth hammer but I haven't heard much good about either of them.  Who else uses a smooth hammer in thier LPK??

I have heard a lot of good about Stag and Daniel Defense, but both have a notched hammer.

Any other choices???

You could always get a 2-Stage trigger and hammer kit. I don't see what you are trying to accomplish, can you elaborate a little bit on the role of a 'smooth hammer'?

Without a notch at top? Maybe he has a ramped bolt carrier and the hammer is dragging on the firing pin? If so, the rifle may have a larger od M-16 firing pin installed instead of an AR-15 pin.

I got a Stag LPK earlier this week and it came with a rounded/smooth hammer. Maybe they switched?

The RRA LPKs I ordered earlier this year had rounded hammers.

I am building a Spikes Lower, first build, for my Spikes 22 LR upper.  22LR uppers require the use of a smooth hammer.

Spike's has the kits with an un-notched hammer.
