Hello everyone,

I am a new member to the site but, have been a lurker for a while and finally became a member since I am going to build my first AR this year. Please dont get upset if this question has already been asked by many others but, I couldn't find anything so I fugured I would just ask.
I am trying to find a good lower to purchase not super cheap but not super expensives as well, I am going to order the 16" M4 kit from Del-Ton- chrome linned barrel w/ Phantom 5C2 flash hider and the flat top upper w/ M4 feed Ramps. Is there a lower that someone could suggest? I am looking for a stripped lower, I will get a two stage trigger kit from RRA later. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. I am new to building and would love to learn as much as I can from this build. Thanks!

Just pick a roll mark you like the best coupled with one that fits your budget. Most forged lowers these days are in spec with a few exceptions but you won't know that until you have the lower in front of you. Take your pick from many, many lower receiver brands currently on the market. Welcome!

I know this also may be a stupid question but, do most of the lowers come with the flared mag well? If not which ones do? Thanks for the help and comments!

Mine is Stag and I have no complaints...good tight fit on my RRA upper...my advice would be to pick a price range and find something in stock and get it.

I'm happy with my Aero Precision Lower. It looks and feels very solid and it was really cheap!

I've built two rifles on Spikes lowers. They are the best bang for your buck. I think they are still running at under $100.

If I were buying a forged lower right now this would be the one I'd go for.

I looked at one last weekend at one of our area gun shows, looked pretty nice. How did yours build up? I just might have to get one. But I hate filling out the goofy yellow questionaire!
