[ARCHIVED THREAD] - First Time Build

Hello, i'm building my first ar and originally ordered a 16" del-ton lightweight upper....it has been quite awhile now and they keep saying it will be next week before it gets in the shop, but anyways akpartskits has lightweight 16" kits in stock for cheaper and they claim they ship next day. So my question is does anyone know if del-tons kits of much better quality then akpartskits and would it be worth it to just wait instead of cancelling my order and placing on with akpartskits?

I'm new to this too ..

I went the other route and orderd a S&W stripped lower ...

I'm in Ca so it has to be legal.

I will need a 20" barrel for a overall 30" gun

Not sure if I should go with a kit or go piece meal ???

akpartskits is Blackthorne. The worst AR company in the business. DelTon is loads better than the garbage Blackthorne puts out. You've been warned, so if you buy from them it's your loss.
